Undergraduate admission

Bachelor Programs in Chinese Medium:

Application Prerequisites:

• Graduated from senior high school

• Those who apply for natural sciences or management sciences must pass HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test ) Band 3 (above new HSK Band 2); those who apply for social sciences must pass HSK Band 6 (above new HSK Band 5)

• Perform excellently during study

Mode of Cultivating:

• Jump in international undergraduates will be taught together with Chinese students; international students applying for major under a general category will be grouped in individual classes (If more than 10 students apply for the same major at the same semester, they will be grouped into an individual class.) in the first two academic years, and then pursue his or her major in the last two academic years

• Supported by the international curriculum system of XSYU

• Taught by professors and lecturers with doctoral background and rich field experiences

• Taking Petroleum Engineering, Resource Exploration, Oil and Gas Storage & Transportation, Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Business Administration as the focal majors for international education

• List Traditional Chinese culture and Chinese language courses as the required course for international students; Cultivate international talents with cross-culture background

Note:After the confirmation of the enrollment, jump in international students in Chinese medium will be placed into classes based on his or her Chinese level and his or her academic selection

Bachelor Programs in English Medium:

Application Prerequisites:

• Graduated from senior high school

• Possess qualified ability in English listening, speaking, reading and writing, able to communicate fluently in English

• Perform excellently during study

Mode of Cultivating:

• Taught in English, individual classes (If more than 6 students apply for the same major taught in English at the same semester, they will be grouped into an individual class)

• Supported by the international curriculum system of XSYU

• Taught mainly by scholars introduced from abroad or with overseas education background, experienced bilingual teachers from well-established branch of learning

• Based-on all English classes such as Petroleum Engineering, Resource Exploration, Oil and Gas Storage & Transportation, Chemistry&ChemicalEngineering,ElectronicEngineering,andBusiness Administration

• List Traditional Chinese culture and Chinese language courses as the required course for international students; Cultivate international talents with cross-culture background

Note:Students for individual classes taught in Chinese or English will be decided with reference to the applicant numbers for a same major, and informed accordingly during the admission period
